Rajeev Gandhi Memorial College of Engineering and Technology was founded in the year 1995. It is located in a 32.04 acre sprawling campus on NH-40 (old NH-18) at Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh.

The Inauguration of the AICTE IDEA Lab by Dr. H. Sudarsana Rao, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of JNTUA, Anantapuramu, was held on 10 January 2026.

The Indoor Stadium at RGMCET was inaugurated on 6th December 2025 by Shri B. Chetan Anand, renowned Indian badminton player, Arjuna Awardee, and former National Champion.
The Institution’s Innovation Council, RGMCET participated in the AICTE IIC Regional Meet held at SRM University, AP, on 2nd December 2025, and won the Best Poster Award.
